HEAT canola oil in a large skillet on medium high.
SEASON chicken with salt and pepper and add to skillet. Cook 4-5 minutes on each side to brown, then remove from pan.
ADD onions and cook for 3 minutes. Add chicken broth and pesto; mix well.
PLACE chicken back in pan and coat with pesto mixture; bring to a boil then place in oven.
COOK at 400° F for approximately 13-15 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
REMOVE from oven and top with basil. Serve and enjoy!
